At Home and Abroad Telling the Story
The story of the Church begins with the words, "For God so loved the world that He sent His only beloved Son..." (Jh 3:16) The world!! Vital Christianity always has its eye on the "unto the uttermost," those parts of the globe where the message of the Gospel has not yet been sounded in a way that can be understood through the witness of a thriving local church that can disciple and support believers.
Missions has two parts - local evangelism and cross-cultural missions. A faithful church engages both responsibilities. We support international cross-cultural missions as an ongoing part of our praying and giving. In addition to specific missionaries, we also support the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, the North American Mission Board of the SBC and local efforts of the Baptist Convention of New England and Greater Boston Baptist Association in church planting and church growth. The ethnic diversity among Southern Baptists in New England and across America is a witness to the our belief that Christ loves all.
